No Tomorrow's Party - Sound of the Trees

Wow, this is chilled! This demo is a montage of thought provoking, ambient, minimal soundscapes that could calm a raging bull. This is a very well thought out demo and is a welcome break from the norm, with inspiring chilled guitar chords that host a platform for subtle underlying tracks that really kept my ear listening for more.

The level of production of this demo is very good, the levels and balance can't be faulted and this entire demo would make a great soundtrack for an arty film.

This demo does stick out from the rest (which is what you want!) because it is also host to an enhanced CD-ROM which includes 2-tracks that aren't on the audio CD, a video of one of the tracks, some images, links and a biography; who could ask for anything more? (CW)

No Tomorrow's Party (aka TL Ng) was started by a Chinese from Hong Kong. It was his final year project for the HND Music Technology in Manchester UK. He chose to study in Manchester, it's because he loves Joy Division and the Smiths.

The concept of the EP, Sound of the Trees is, “the Soundtrack of the Japanese writer, Haruki Murakami." The songs in the EP are all inspired by the characters and scenes in Haruki Murakami's writing. The styles of music are ambient, minimal and film music. His music influenced are Black Tape For A Blue Girl, Cocteau Twins, David Sylvian, Godspeed You Black Emperor! and Soul Whirling Somewhere.

The EP is also an enhanced music CD Rom, including biography, video, images and extra mp3.
Now it is available online and few records shops, please keep track on the web site for news and further other events.
